Quartz Mountain...

Saturday afternoon we took a drive to Quartz Mountain. It was a beautiful day & we enjoyed the time as a family. The girls both slept the whole time we were in the truck, so we were able to enjoy the quiet time & a nice conversation with just the 2 of us. When we got there Dailey couldn't wait to get out & run around. We went for a walk, Dailey explored a little bit & then we headed home.

Crazy Dailey...

Tonight Dailey was FULL of it! She was a handful from the time she walked in the door until the time she went to bed. She was being goofy & wasn't taking anything we said serious, she was laughing at everything. She landed herself in time-out & thought it was funny - what a little pill!! Thankfully nights like these are very few & far between around here :) I tried to take a few pictures of her & Skylee...but I didn't end up with exactly what I had planned, instead we ended up rescuing Skylee from Dailey!

Pictures of Skylee...

Here are a couple of pictures that I took of Skylee today. She decided to be awake for awhile so I was able to get some with her eyes open.

Today Skylee & I enjoyed a quiet day at home, Dailey went to Grandma Mary's & Justin went on a 4 wheeler ride. Now Justin & Dailey are mowing the lawn, Skylee is sleeping & I'm enjoying the quiet time before Justin & Dailey come inside.

I hope everyone is having a great day!!

First bath...

Last weekend Skylee finally had her first real bath. Her belly button is finally healed, so we are able to get her wet. She wasn't too sure about it, but she didn't scream the entire time like Dailey did during her first bath!

After her bath we headed to Jack & Mary's for Grandpa Willie's birthday party. His name is actually Ben & his dog's name is Willie so somehow he has been re-named to Grandpa Willie :)
Dailey enjoyed spending time on the yard toy before we ate.

Playing catch up...

I haven't posted many pictures of what we have been doing lately...here you go!

Dailey & my parent's dog Solstice. She loves him...he loves when she leaves!

Logan was trying to light the candles on his birthday cake & Dailey was blowing them out as fast as she could!Eating breakfast at Auntie & Uncles, one of her favorite places to be...she is spoiled ROTTEN when she is there! :)

Watching Sponge Bob with Uncle, I don't think she could get any closer to him.

Dailey at Kylee's 16th birthday party with Auntie & Uncle, I think she looks about 5 in this picture. What happened to my little baby??

Dance Class...

On Friday mornings Dailey & my mom are doing a "Music & Movement" class at a local dance studio. Last week was the first week & I didn't get to watch because Skylee had a doctors appointment, but yesterday I got to go. Dailey LOVES it!! I love the confidence & the great attitude she has - she made me so proud! They don't actually practice any real dance moves, they are just practicing movement...it's more like organized chaos, but all the kids love it! Yesterdays theme was sizes; little, medium & big so they did a lot of different size steps & activities that made their bodies either small or big.

1 week old...

I can't believe that Skylee is already 1 week old! It seems like she has been with us forever, but on the same hand she is still so new to us. She is still spending her days sleeping most of the time, although she has been awake a couple of times the last couple of days for about 30 minutes at a time. She decided at about 2:30am today that it was a good time to be awake, not my ideal time to spend awake, but I enjoyed having the time with just her & I. She just layed with me & looked around, she didn't cry or fuss, just simply looked around. I have really realized in the last week just how lucky we are to have our 2 beautiful girls!

At home & adjusting...

I'm so glad to say that we are all home, happy & healthy! Skylee joined us at 12:10pm on Monday (after less than 10 minutes of pushing - hooray!!!) and we were home by noon on Tuesday. We have amazing family & friends who were more than wonderful & offered to help with Dailey during our first couple of days home so we could adjust to having Skylee home.
Dailey loves being a big sister & is very excited when she gets to help do anything Skylee needs. She is good at sharing all of her toys with her (I'm sure Skylee really appreciates at this point!), handing me wipes when I change her diaper & giving endless hugs & kisses to her. Last night we were going to dinner so we got both girls loaded in the car & Dailey very quietly said "I love you Skylee." So sweet!! Auntie spent a lot of her day with us yesterday, joined us for dinner then came over after dinner. When she got up & was leaving Dailey jumped up & said "I go, I go!" so, of course, Auntie didn't bat an eye & loaded Dailey in her car with her. She said when they were pulling out of the driveway Dailey kept saying "Thank you Auntie". She is such a sweet little girl!

Skylee is adjusting to her new world very well! Her & Dailey definately have different personalities & it shows already. When Dailey was this age she was awake for about an hour at a time, mulitple times a day & would just sit & look around. Skylee would much rather sleep & doesn't much like to open her eyes, although she was awake for about 45 minutes earlier today...I really enjoyed it! She had her 4 day check-up on Friday & weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces. By 2 weeks they want her back up to her birth weight & I'm pretty confident that she will be because she is eating really well. Her favorite place to sleep is definately cuddled up on her daddy's chest, the exact place that Dailey still likes to be.
