Little Nudie Butt

Tonight our little girl has discovered that she would rather be naked than have anything on, including her diaper! When I was changing her diaper, before I could get a diaper on her, she crawled away as fast as her little buns would go, laughing the whole time. We played chase for a few minutes & she thought she was so funny. She kept laying on the floor & wiggling around, I think it was a new feeling on her bum & she thought she was so funny!! Then she discovered that Daddy was mowing the lawn so she watched him for a while through the sliding glass door.

She was in such a funny mood tonight. She 'read' all of her books, slowly one by one. She was completely content just hanging out with her basket of books by herself. I tried to sit down with her to read with her but she took the book out of my hand & started turning the pages herself. Then she looked at me & smiled like "I'm so big & so cool!"
I am looking forward to tomorrow, Fridays are our days to be together, just Dailey & I. We will take a bath, go shopping for a little while then just hang out until she goes to Grandma & Grandpa Seth's to stay the night. Justin & I are going to have a 'big people' night as we call it. I'm not sure what we are going to do but I'm looking forward to getting together with some friends & having a good time!!
Saturday Dailey will watch her first parade. She has the cutest little outfit, I'll be sure to post pictures!!

10 months old!!

It doesn't seem possible - Dailey is already 10 months old!!! It's amazing how fast it has gone & how much fun we have had along the way. Dailey has turned into a new little girl lately. She is VERY particular, knows what she wants & is very determined to get whatever she wants. Sometimes her little hands get her into trouble but she is quickly learning what 'no' means...usually it is followed with her lip quivering & then come the tears!!

This is the toy that she got tonight. It's been in the garage for the last few days (1 of her birthday presents) & Justin said that she didn't have to wait for her birthday because she can have whatever she wants whenever she wants it :) Think she has her daddy wrapped around her little finger?? She had so much fun playing on it & it didn't take too long before she figured out how to stand up on it! After she climbed off of it she got to the back of it & then it started moving - not what she expected. I don't think her little legs have taken steps that big or that fast yet!

Orcas Island

Wow, it's already been 2 weeks since I've given everyone an update!! The last 2 weeks have been good, but very busy. 2 weekends ago I took more insurance licensing exams - I have taken & passed 7 of the 8 exams & will take my last one on Saturday. Wish me luck! :)

Every year Justin's family goes to the San Juan Islands & this year we were able to join them for a couple of days!! On Thursday afternoon we loaded up in my mom's motorhome & we were on our way. It was us, Logan & Landon. We got there kind of late on Thursday night so the boys quickly got to know all the neighbor kids, rode their bikes around & sat by the campfire until it was time for bed. On Friday morning they couldn't wait for Justin & Jack to take them to the boat so they could fish. Over the rest of the weekend we fished, crabbed, relaxed, visited another island & just simply enjoyed being together. We can't wait until next year when we can go again!!

This weekend I'm taking my test & we are just going to hang out at home. We have some sprinkler lines to move for the fence to be built & some shrubs to move but other than that we are just going to try to relax & enjoying being a family.

I hope everyone is having a great week!!

It's already been 7 months

Can you believe it’s been 7 months today since Justin’s transplant?! The last 7 months have been some of the most exciting, frustrating, exhausting, emotional and rewarding months of our lives. He is so lucky to have Kelly for a sister; I can’t even put into words how grateful we are of her.
I look back and it seems like it was all just yesterday. I can still see all the tubes, needles & monitors, I can hear him breathing when he came out of recovery, I can smell his hospital room, I can see Dailey lying in his hospital bed with him, sound asleep in his arms & I everyday I still feel the relief that I felt on the evening of January 9th, when surgery was done.

Justin is doing so well now - it's amazing how far he has came in only 7 short months. The only way you would know that he has had a transplant & has gone through everthing he has is by his huge scar on him stomach. He is so strong & has so much courage. He doesn't let himself get down, he doesn't ever say that anything is bothering him & he is so gratful of everything that he has.

Dailey is doing great also!!! She has 4 teeth & will have 6 any day, I can see them under her gums. She is so close to walking, but she realizes that crawling is a lot easier & a lot faster. She is getting into anything that her little hands can get & she LOVES the sliding glass door. She is constantly standing at it blowing, sucking & spitting on the glass. She laughs so hard when she does it.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Ocean Shores

Wow, last week was quite the week!! I was in my final insurance licensing class all week & it was a lot of work. When the class was done on Thursday afternoon my brain was so tired!

Dailey left on Wednesday morning with my mom, sister & brothers for Ocean Shores. It was her first trip with anyone but Justin & I. She is with my sister so much that I knew she would do great but I had a hard time. I had big plans of getting a lot done on Wednesday night with her being gone but I was so far from my normal routine that I got NOTHING done. I wandered around the house, cleaned her closet & hoped that time would start going faster so that we were with her again. As soon as my class was done on Thursday afternoon we headed to Ocean Shores. When we got there Dailey was in bed but we missed her so much that we woke her up to play with her for a little while. She looked at us like 'Where did you come from?" We played for a while then she turned into a pumpkin & wanted to go back to bed.

Friday we went to the beach & Dailey played in the sand - she thought it tasted really good! The tide was really low so we were able to see hundreds of sea stars on the rocks. Logan & Landon thought it was really neat. The weather was so nice that when we were done on the beach we played in the pool all afternoon. She had SO much fun, I think she laughed the entire time!!

Saturday we went to Monroe for Travis's race. We left the ocean at about 7 so that Justin could get there early to help. My sister, Dailey & I met up with some friends/family to go shopping then we went back to the track. Travis did really good, he finished 4th! We got home a little before 3am this morning. Dailey slept in until 7 so we were able to 'sleep in'.
