Baby Seth...

I just thought I would fill everyone in...we will be checking into the hospital at 6pm tonight to start the journey of having our baby. There is a medication that I may need to have for 12 hours prior to having her, so he will decide that tonight when we check-in. If I do need to start the medication, I will stay the night in the hospital tonight & if I don't he will send us home & have us check back in first thing in the morning to be induced. I'm hoping for 1 more night at home in our bed, but if I need to be at the hospital that is fine too.

Today we are going to enjoy our last day of being a family of 3 & hang out at home together. Justin put Dailey in our bed when she woke up so we snuggled & watched cartoons for awhile, then we went out to breakfast & I realized how big she is getting. She was SO good & made us so proud. We didn't have to ask her 1 time to use her manners, she told the waitress please & thank you & she only wanted to eat her sausage :) She wanted us to color with her, but I sat back & was amazed that she was coloring so well. She picked out all the eyeballs on the paper & colored only them. She didn't stay perfectly inside the lines (she is only 1!), but it was very obvious that she was coloring only the eyes. After she was done with the eyes, she colored anything else that was a circle. I was amazed when I realized just how big she is getting!

Thank you for all of the comments, emails, phone calls, messages & text messages. We will do our best to keep everyone posted on the progress of Baby Seth. Hopefully by the time she is born she will have a name :)

Baby update...

I saw my doctor this morning & we are going to meet our little girl by Sunday!!! He is going to call me this afternoon to tell me if I need to be at the hospital on Saturday or Sunday to be induced.

Dailey & Papa...

Here are some cute pictures of Dailey & my dad (Dailey has decided to call him 'Papa') sitting in the tree in his front yard. I remember many hours of climbing this tree with my dad & my sister when I was little. She is such a lucky little girl to have so many people that love her so much!!

Surgery tomorrow...

Landon had his follow-up appointment today for his leg & it didn't go so well. Last weekend when they set it they were hoping that it would stay in place but when they did x-rays today they could see that it didn't. Tomorrow morning he goes in at 9am for surgery to set it again. Please keep him in your prayers :)

Grandpa Rhodes...

As most of you know, my Grandpa Rhodes had a stroke on April 16th & on Friday night he lost the long, hard battle he's been fighting since then. We are all going to miss him so much, but we find comfort in knowing that he is no longer struggling & he is now in peace. Before he passed he told my grandma that he needed to go home...he is now home.

The end of 4-H...

For the last week we've all been talking to Logan about today...the day his lambs 'go away'. He has been telling me that he will be fine & not to worry, but I know Logan too well & know that his heart is WAY too big to not care. The night before Mom took his lambs to the fair, Logan had gone out to feed them & then she couldn't find him. It was dark so she got a flashlight & went looking for him. She found him in the pin with his lambs crying because he was so sad they were leaving. When Mom told me that I knew that today was going to be terrible for him & it was. About 6pm I got the phone call I've been dreading from him. I answered the phone & through his tears & sadness on the other side I heard him say "I'm done, they are gone." My heart ached for him, he was so sad. Between his sobs he told me about their last few minutes together & the last time he petted each of them. By the time I got off the phone with him, tears were running down my cheeks as well. I kept telling him what a great job he did & how proud I am of him for taking such good care of them. Then I told him that in the spring he would get to get 2 more baby lambs, he would get to watch them grow, teach them everything he taught Shorty & Squat & then he would get to take them to the fair again and....then I went blank because at that point we will be in the same situation we are in right now! I've decided that next year I will go to the sale & buy his lamb & give it back to him so he doesn't have to go through this again :)

Logan & Slate show their lambs...parts 2 & 3...

Friday & Saturday Logan & Slate both showed their lambs again. Friday was Market (auction) and Saturday was Fitting & Showing. Market was much better to watch, it was a live auction so there was stuff going on all around us while Fitting & Showing was so boring. The kids walked their lambs around in the arena for 40+ minutes while a judge looked at them...so boring!

Logan & Slate did great in the sale, Logan got $4.50 per pound for his lamb, which was average for the day, while Slate was the top selling Market lamb, at $9.50 or $10.00 per pound. There was no one else that even came close to selling their lamb for what he did. They were both excited that they did well. When we got there on Friday I got my camera out to take a picture of Logan before he showed his lamb & I didn't have my card in my camera! Thankfully Becky did, so I will get the pictures from her & post them later. Here are some pictures from Fitting & Showing on Saturday...
