Christmas Day 2009

Ok, here is the rest of our Christmas celebrations....

Our Christmas Day was wonderful!  We spent the morning with my side of the family at our house.  It was so nice to get up, get ready & not have to rush out the door like we usually do.  I was able to get up, shower, relax & literally wait around doing nothing until everyone woke up.  It was after 8:30 by the time both of the girls were up & that was with us waking them up!

About noon we headed to Jack & Mary's house to spend the rest of the day with Justin's family.

Christmas Eve 2009

I know I'm a few weeks behind with updating.  I've been spending my time playing with the girls, picking up the house, changing diapers, following Skylee to the bathroom when she thinks she has to potty, scrubbing markers out of the carpet, washing mounds of laundry, snowmobiling with Justin, coming up with meals that everyone will eat without any dairy or soy products (if you have any, please share!), getting everything ready to take to the accountant...you get the picture so I'll stop!

Anyways, here are some pictures of our Christmas Eve.  I spent the day at home with Dailey, Skylee, Logan, Landon & Slate.  We played together & made cookies for Santa, then we spent the evening together as a family at my mom's house.

Hopefully more to come later today, unless I'm busy doing the things I listed above! :)

36 months

In the paperwork process prior to Justin's kidney transplant his transplant coordinator told us, for a fee, Justin could be enrolled in Medicare for 36 months.  We chose to pay the monthly fee & use Medicare, along with our private health insurance to cover some of the costs for Justin's medical care.  At the time 36 months seemed like an eternity.

Needless to say, when I opened the letter from Medicare last week that reads: "We are writing to tell you that Medicare coverage based on your kidney condition ends with the last day of January 2010." It took me reading it a couple of times before I could process that it has already been three years.

Three years that have only been possible because of Justin's sister, Kelly.  Thank you for literally giving Justin the gift of life.  We love you!

2009 Christmas on Hat Island

Each year we celebrate Christmas together with my dad & Suzanne at their house on Hat Island & we always have a great time! This year our weekend started by spending Thursday evening in Bellevue, then on Friday morning we met Dad & Suz at their boat & we headed off to the island.

Our weekend was filled with fun, laughter, memories, family & pictures!  Enjoy :)

Frocadiles

"Look guys.  I see frocadiles out there!"

See was looking out over the Puget Sound while sitting on the deck at Dad & Suzanne's house on Hat Island.  The frocadiles she was referring to were logs floating.  Awhile later when birds landed on the logs she told us "Yep, those birds landed on her & she's gonna eat them."

Blue Eyed Baby

This blue eyed baby girl is the sweetest 15 month old I know.

She knows just what to do to make me smile.

She knows just what to do to make me laugh.

She knows just what to do to make me want to pull my hair out.

But I wouldn't change one thing about her precious little self.
